My husband and I stayed here the first weekend of Feb 2013. It was our 35th wedding anniversary. The accommodations were more than expected. The cabin was secluded and surrounded by wildlife and perfect scenery. The cabin was extremely clean, cozy, quaint, well furnished and inviting. We thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub. Far enough away from city life, but close enough...
Best cabin stay anywhere
The cabin was so clean and exactly what you would expect a cabin to be. We stayed in the log cabin and it had all the kitchen utensils we needed. Plenty of towels and even a washer and dryer. Beautiful location and it was so peaceful. Hot tub was super clean and the fireplace easy to work.
Great location and accommodations
Hubby and I along with some close friends always go on an annual Fall trip. We have been to a variety of locations over the years , and this by far was one of the nicest "cabins" we have been to. It was extremely clean and everything that you needed for a weekend trip was provided. Great fire ring in...
We stayed in the Briarwood cabin for two nights. The cabin was gorgeous and exceptionally clean, the kitchen was equipped with all of the necessities for cooking, the bed was comfortable, and the place was so cute and cozy. It is located close to the office and the larger cabin/lodge, but it is set in a way that we still had complete privacy. We enjoyed the cat that was often there when we opened the door, and also had a lot of fun with the dollar game! We spoke with the owners a couple of times during our stay and they were great as well! We will definitely be back! I can't think of any reason to stay anywhere else!

We spent 4 days enjoying the cabin, the trails in Hocking Hills and the quaint restaurants and shopping in the area. Cabins are well maintained and the hot tub was pristine clean and very enjoyable after a long hike. The proprietors are truly hospitable and we liked it so much we stayed another day. We will definitely go back.

I booked the Briarwood cabin for our 5th wedding anniversary. The location and cabin are so beautiful. The cabin is spotless clean and all necessary living items are provided, ie: dish soap, hand soap, pots and pans, coffee maker, dinnerware etc. There is also a grill and the hot tub was amazing! The owners are so kind and we loved playing the dollar game! I love scavenger hunts and it is a tradition here at sunrise so we had to play! We recommend this little slice of heaven for a much needed get away from work and school! We will be back for sure! Thanks!

My son & I did our first of many trips to the hocking hills area and we chose the Sunrise Cabins based on the positive reviews that I read online. We were happy to be surprised with the cleanliness and how quiet the cabin is. It is surrounded by trees and is in an area where it is very quiet. We came down to do a little horseback riding and zip lining. The Briarwood is perfect for 2 people. The hot tub made for a very relaxing weekend trip. We met the owner Bruce who was a delight to talk to and he gave us helpful tips on things to do in the surrounding area.
Loved our two-night stay at the Briarwood log cabin. The owners have thought of every comfort, including wifi and a flat screen tv, but the experience still has that get-away-from-it-all feeling. The furniture in the sitting area was new and comfy. The kitchen is spotless (as is the entire cabin) and has everything you'll need. Roomy bathroom with fluffy white towels. No Verizon phone signal (as is true in all of Hocking Hills) but the owners have installed a land line if you need to make a call. Close to the attractions and yet hidden away from the crowd.Sweet kitty that checked up on us from time to time. A wonderful experience.
My husband and I were dating and in a long distance relationship (he in Ohio and I in New Jersey) when we decided to celebrate an early Christmas in the Briarwood at Sunrise Cabins in December of 2009. We were absolutely thrilled at our accommodations and had a very romantic getaway. Everything was spotless and we spent a huge amount of time in the hot tub. We never left the cabin. The next year he had moved to New Jersey, and we were married in 2011. Because we are 10 hours away, we were pretty sure that it would be our one and only time enjoying this magical woodland wonderland.
